How to Set LigoWave NFT Series Devices in Access Point Mode

To create a simple Access Point (Auto WDS), follow these steps.

Note: NFT series devices require an external DHCP server as they operate in bridge mode by default.

Step 1 – Access Point WDS configuration;

If the device is not connected to a DHCP source, the default IP address is varsayılan “192.168.2.66”.

However, if it is running on a DHCP server, find out which IP address your device receives from your DHCP source and enter the interface settings.

Let’s change the default IP of the device. (You can also set as DHCP Client)

Step 2 – 2.4 GHz AP wireless settings;

The Wireless Access Point mode of the NFT-2N cannot be configured as Auto WDS.

Let’s select IEEE Mode;

If you are using an N-capable receiver 802.11n,

If you are using a New, Old and Feature receiver, use B/G/N mode and select your appropriate channel range.

Step 3 – 5 GHz AP wireless settings;

The Wireless Access Point mode of the NFT-2N cannot be configured as Auto WDS.

Let’s select IEEE Mode;

If you are using an N-capable receiver 802.11n,

If you are using a New, Old and Feature receiver, use B/G/N mode and select your appropriate channel range.

In the Wireless Networks (AP) section, click the settings icon below and fill in the SSID, Encryption information as needed.

Step 4;

Enable encryption.

Define the SSID.

The information page displays the status information summary of the device.

Shows information such as wireless operation mode, Radio, and Network settings.

In the Status page, you can see how many devices are connected to the 2.4 GHz broadcast in the Info line.

Likewise, you can follow the connected devices from the 5 GHz tab located on the right side tab.
